The miserable weather continues in Adelaide, I certainly hope our reservoirs are full after this, although I daresay it will take even more rain before that is achieved. If there is one thing I have learnt in this life it is that you really can’t have too much water, as much as I feel for the flood victims, even the floods do some good somewhere.
Today was good writing weather so I spent some more time on my book but I still have a very long way to go. It has been quite a few weeks since I put pen to paper so to speak, I have realised I have to be in the mood to write.
I got a nasty surprise in the mail today, a speeding fine. It appears that after I had my second job interview, in the euphoria of the moment, I was careless and went slightly too fast through an underpass. As our cars are in joint names and Lynch comes before Mitchell, it came in Brian’s name so now we need to change it to me.
I have also made a decision to change superannuation funds, as the fund I am with charges phenomenal fees, so I am moving to another fund with half the fees. At my age I cannot afford for my super to continue going backwards and as I have been unemployed I have a lot of ground to make up. My super also took a hit from which it has not recovered when we had our businesses.
For some reason I have not been sleeping well lately and as I have a very busy day tomorrow I think I should hit the sack and grab some shut-eye.
